- Be an advocate and empowering voice for the black family within the culture
- Be an agent of enhancing self-empowerment and independence for black individuals and families
- Create forums, platforms and discussions, to educate ourselves and the public about issues relating to the black experience
- Use documented data to create and share ideas and craft solutions to issues, frustrations, fears and insecurities raised by the black family
- Promoting self-government principles within black American culture
Specific GOALS
To Empower, Educate & Strengthen the Black family utilizing Research, Education and Advocacy through a faith centered approach to address a variety of issues that plague the Black family and community including, but not limited to,
Some goals of BSEST relative to the Black family are to:

- Deterioration in values and manners,
- Multi-generational financial distress
- Breakdown of the nuclear family,
- High crime rates, and
- Poor outcomes in education.
Some goals of BSEST relative to the Black family are to:
- Encourage the formation and sustenance of families,
- Promote black economic and social stability through quality education,
- Combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency and
- Lessen dependability and burdens of government through economic upward mobility
- To implement real life stories into forums that will help connect the dots between poor decision-making and poor outcomes and vice-versa.
- To change the image of the Black family.
- To be an advocate and speak on socio-economic issues that affect the Black family
Some objectives of BSEST:
- Community outreach through door to door canvassing
- Hosting one Townhall every quarter addressing issues related to the organization’s mission and vision
- Hosting a series of educational seminars focused on:
- Telling our own story- sharing important black history facts that are widely unknown to restoring and strengthen individual identity and community wholeness,
- Racial reconciliation and healing
- Building multigenerational wealth and personal finance decision-making,
- Making wise academic and career choices that lead to personal socio-economic excellence and stability
- Organize and lead one community field trip to the African American Museum in Washington DC every quarter.
